Biography

Anointed Kennedy real name Kennedy Bentry Chigwe is a Gospel Hip Hop artist currently based in Italy. He is set to release a potential smash hit titled "Pompano" which talks about the second coming of Jesus Christ. He says the song was inspired by the times we are living in. He explains, "Seeing what is happening in this world, I can tell that Christ's return is at hand. The wars and conflicts between nations, pandemics, promiscuity and so many unholy things happening around the world." He adds, "Music for me is ministry. I am a vessel of God. My assignment is to deliver the message to as many people as I can. I'm expecting the song will have an impact on people's lives. I hope it will touch souls and God will use it to change people's lives." The audio and video will drop this Friday 15th of March 2024. The audio was produced and mixed by Cozizwa while the vocals were recorded at Master-studio in Italy. The video was produced by Owusu and Endless Media. It was shot in two countries, Malawi and Italy. "Pompano" which also features Timothy Kumbulani is the second single from his upcoming seven track EP titled "Anointed for a reason". Anointed Kennedy describes himself as a happily married, passionate street preacher, rapper and author. He makes Biblical themed Music to praise God and reach those who do not have a relationship with the Christ he believes in. "In a nutshell, a set of unusual events in 2015 led me to devoting my life fully to Christ and for 4 years I stopped making music and sought the face of God and grew in his faith," he adds. He has recently also published his second book titled "The Time is Now". Anointed Kennedy started enjoying music at an early age from being exposed to church choirs to eventually recording in several studios. He was born in Lilongwe and has grown up in Italy where he is currently based.
