Biography

True Vine Praise Team is a dynamic Gospel music group from True Vine International Church, based in Chimwankhunda, Blantyre, Malawi. Formed in 2004, the group was established alongside the church with a clear and unwavering mission: to preach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through music. In its early days, the praise team was led by Senior Prophet David Mpochera, guiding a small group of passionate believers. As the church grew, so did the praise team—welcoming new members who shared the same vision and spiritual calling. Today, True Vine Praise Team is blessed with over 35 dedicated members, committed to using their voices as instruments of worship and ministry. In 2019, the group made its studio debut at M Studios, recording spiritually uplifting songs such as Amamva, Alinafe, Ndili Ndi Nyumba, Wakumwamba, and Moyo Wanga. Each song is a prophetic revelation received by Prophet Mpochera, who teaches the team the message and melody. The group then collaborates musically to bring each song to life, ensuring it ministers powerfully to all who hear it. True Vine Praise Team continues to be a vital part of worship at True Vine International Church and an impactful voice in Malawi’s Gospel music scene.
