Snag Bomaye, real name, Fraser Evans Masamba also known as Snag Bomaye is a Malawian rapper and songwriter currently based in Capetown, Republic of South Africa.
He started rapping at the age of 12 years in a township of Ndirande in the city of Blantyre. He was one half of the famous rap duo, YFT, which comprised of him and childhood friend, Refu, (real name Wangashey James Mwenifumbo).
Snag is one of the veteran rappers in Malawi, having contributed some major street anthems and radio singles.
Before moving to South Africa in 2014, he has worked with different rappers and producers such as King Bywel C., Criminal A., Daredevils, Dominant 1, Revolver, MC Sibweni, P1, Last Prophet, DJ Alister, Inkosi iBeats, Joyfresh just to mention a few.
Now signed under Sistical Production, a Capetown based Malawian entertainment outfit, managed by Bennidicto Manyumba, he is currently working on an EP, to be titled soon, which is being produced and recorded in Capetown with the input from Malawian and South African rappers, singers and producers such as Yung Ozi, Trey Pistol, Jack Zee, Farm, Stherra, Ruffkat, Slaybeats, Owzie Beats, Pasha, Slick and many more.
