The Gift Of Blessings

Gift of Blessings is a gospel music group based in Mzuzu, Malawi, and affiliated with Ekwendeni SDA Church. The group was founded in 2015 at Ekwendeni Central Church by two young musicians, Gift Mwale and Blessings Simkoko, who remain the key founders of the group. What began with the two founders later grew into a larger fellowship of talented young people, including Esther Simkoko, sister to Blessings Simkoko; Rachel Phiri; Glory Nyoni; Angellah Ngwira, daughter of Pastor M.Y. Ngwira; Kinah Banda; Hanneck; and Mr. and Mrs. Mzomera Ngwira. Gift Mwale is a songwriter, composer, and singer, while Blessings Simkoko is a singer and preacher. Together, they established Gift of Blessings with a passion for using music as a means of sharing the Gospel and reaching people with the message of Jesus Christ. The group’s mission is inspired by the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18–19 and the declaration in Matthew 24:14. Through their music, Gift of Blessings seeks to proclaim the Good News, encourage believers, inspire hope, and reach communities with a message of faith and salvation. Over the years, the group has developed a growing collection of more than 100 original songs. Gift of Blessings is also committed to supporting fellow gospel musicians by making its songs available freely for those who wish to use them in their ministry. From its humble beginnings as a two-member group in 2015, Gift of Blessings continues to pursue its calling to serve God through music, songwriting, preaching, and evangelism.
