He is Smasher Nay by the real name Sadness Nyirenda,From Northern Region(Mzuzu),he was born on 29 May 1995 at Mzuzu Central Hospital.He grown up in Chiputula,Mzuzu.He is Hip hop artist.He is a son to Keston Nyirenda and Ruphia Phiri.He grew up in a poor family with six members.He is the fifth member in the family with two sisters and three brothers.
