Ras Andy

Ras Andy born Andrew Pilirani Makanjira, grew up in the township of Zingwangwa, Blantyre. His love for music was inspired by listening to international Dancehall artists in the early 2000's. Having participated in several local music competitions whilst at secondary school he was also very active in football, playing in the national lower league. After relocating to the Oxford, UK, Ras Andy picked up on his passion for music and in 2016 recorded his first song, History which features fellow Malawian Dancehall artist Segiman. In 2017 he followed up with two other singles Revelation (Chivumbulutso) and Don't Play.
