Khai

Khai is a Kasungu based afrobeat musician whose real name is Innocent Mwera. Khai is not only an artist but also a producer and he Produce most of his songs himself. He started music at the age of 16 when he was in form 2. It all started as he used to sing songs of other popular Malawian musicians at that time such as Malinga Mafia, Mady p etc. He was kinda of a well known dancehall/hiphop artist when he was in form 3 at St Peters pvt secondary school. He used to go by the name "Ixxy" at the time and he recorded his first song in 2018. He released a few songs between 2018 and 2022 as a dancehall/Hiphop artist. In 2022 he decided to go for a different genre, "Afro" and he changed his name to Khai. The same year, he released an Extended playlist, "Love and Hate" having 4 songs such as Makolo ako, Nsanje, Cocacola and Mlendo. He also released a few singles such as Check Check, Innocent Guy, Energy, Take you out and You.
