Chilu

The direction of his music is Reggae fused with some Afro-Pop.
Chilu  was born Frank Kapata on 8th September in 1986. Born and raised in Blantyre, he tarted  loving music in his early teenage. As a Christian,  he used to sing at church from time to time.
It was during his secondary school days (around 2002) that he and some friends formed a group and recorded his first song in 2005 but never succeeded and the group was late no more as most members relocated to different places. After a couple of years he realized some potential in  himself then he recorded his first song in 2007 at Unique Studios in Salima (producer: Wariajaja). However, due to some commitments and other stumbling blocks he was unable to continue. Chilu is inspired by Overton Chimombo, George Mkandawire & Maskal on the local scene whilst internationally, its Tuface Idibia and Christopher Martin. Now, Chilu has embarked on a journey to live what has always been a childhood dream.
