Black Fire

Black Fire, real name Charles Chikapa, is a dancehall and hip-hop artist from Blantyre. He started making music in 2005 and was inspired by legendary artists like Annie Matumbi, Vick Marley, and Musamude Fumulani, often memorizing and singing their old songs. Internationally, he draws inspiration from Sean Paul, Peter Tosh, Joseph Hill, Ja Rule, Akon, Sizzla Kalonji, and Shaggy. During his time in secondary school, while in Form 1, he began composing his own songs. However, he couldn't visit the studio due to financial constraints. After traveling to South Africa, he started recording his music and is now working on an album. Black Fire is not signed to any record label or management.
