Artness Ngalauka was born in Mfutso Village, Dedza, and grew up in Chilinde, Lilongwe. Artness was born on September 29, 1983, as the first child in a family of four children, with only one wife. His musical journey began at the age of 8 when he joined the renowned Shadreck Wame, who was a significant influence in Kasungu. Artness showcased his talent during their performances, capturing the hearts of many with his singing. At the age of 10, he attracted a diverse audience to Shadreck Wame's 5-day event in Kasungu. Artness continued singing in the church choir, particularly the Seventh-day Adventist Church, as he grew up. His first breakthrough as a soul artist came in 2008 when he released his debut single "Tikalowako Bwanji," gaining attention on Zodiac and Joe Mwase's platforms. However, challenges arose due to inadequate promotion of his songs. In 2015, Artness released his first album, "Ndipitabe," produced by Anthony Makuta. The album received significant recognition, and he launched it in South Africa in 2018. In 2020, he released another album titled "Alipo Ondimenyera," launching it in South Africa. In 2022, he released the album "Ndapanga Chisankho," although it is yet to have a formal launch, the songs are available on his website. Artness, also known as HERO K, is anticipating the release of his upcoming album "WAMOYO" in mid-2024. His name is becoming synonymous with the music industry, and fans are eagerly waiting for the new release.
