Biography

Born in Mozambique to Malawian parents, Riemoon is a rising young artist whose music blends passion, culture, and experience. He discovered his love for music at a young age—playing the local guitar and listening to inspiring artists like Lawi and Namadingo, two of Malawi’s most respected musicians. His musical journey also draws influence from Nigerian stars Ric Hassani and Johnny Drille, whose soulful and melodic styles helped shape Riemoon’s unique sound. Riemoon first stepped into the studio in October 2017, introduced by a friend. Although he started with dancehall, he later realized his voice and style fit naturally with Afrobeats, a genre he's now committed to developing. Despite financial challenges that limited his early studio access, Riemoon never stopped writing. He kept his lyrics safe—waiting for the right time to bring them to life. Today, he’s working hard to build his own studio and even experimenting with beat-making to become more independent in his production. His journey reflects persistence, raw talent, and a love for music that refuses to fade. Riemoon is not just a name—it’s a story in motion. And this is just the beginning.
