MDEEP Alli — born Mussa Said Alli on May 25, 1996 — is a Malawian-born rapper with a mission to elevate Malawian music to global recognition. Originally from Mlomba, Machinga District, and raised in Blantyre, MDEEP's journey later took him to South Africa, where he grew up in Port Shepstone before relocating to Durban. These diverse cultural influences shape the sound and soul of his music. He began his musical journey in 2014 with his first performance at Heidi Primary School, and he’s been building ever since. Inspired by GD of the iconic Malawian hip-hop group Daredevils, MDEEP Alli developed a distinct lyrical style rooted in authenticity, storytelling, and a deep connection to his roots. Today, MDEEP Alli boasts an impressive catalogue of singles, EPs, and full-length albums available online. His breakthrough EP, “Mdap to Jozi,” opened doors and set the stage for the rest of his journey — while his sophomore album, “Hit,” is currently making waves and dominating the airwaves across regions.
