Biography

Mike D, whose real name is Mcdonald Sadyeka Richard, is an artist hailing from SengaBay in Salima. Born in 1995, Mike D completed his secondary school education in 2011 but began his music journey in 2008 after joining the CCAP Choir. During his time with the choir, Mike D wrote songs for them, but he was later encouraged to start composing his own songs, marking the inception of his solo music career. Notably, he operates independently without any record label or management. While he hasn't won any solo artist awards, his choir achieved an award. Mike D has also collaborated with artists such as Lay B Salima, March Ali, M Bizzy, and King VIP from Zimbabwe. His ultimate aspiration is to make a mark on the international music scene and represent Malawi globally.
