Biography

I’m Christie Mtefula, Also Known As Leo Montego. Born On August 6, 1997. I’m a Malawian born R&B and Hip Hop recording amateur artist. Inspired by Michael Jackson, I taught myself to sing at a young age and was involved in my church choir and some local talent shows. I was born in a "family with a musical career" and this really contributed to my singing. I’m a singer and I rap too I like the likes of Young Kay, Bucci, Tay Grin, Dare Devils, Spyral, Gwamba, Y.A.L.G in Malawian Game . I’m also known for my single Star Star Star which received some overwhelming requests and airplay on some Malawi’s private radios. Having Signed with Real Friends Records Last year I released my single "Titanic" featuring Marvin Hanke jnr, my producer. And I have been making songs which include, Tina, Multitask, RNS And Price Of Fame just to mention a few. I make music because I love music and I sometimes refer to music as my heart's best friend. I make the music I hear from my heart. I know how hard it is for a Malawian artist to end up living his or her dream. But I still have hope. Music is my career so everyday I try to do something that will inch me closer to a better tomorrow. I Hope to make Africa hear my music someday.
