Biography

Demik is a rising Malawian rapper/trapper originally from Bangwe but currently based in Kasungu. His real name is Daveson Misheck Kashoti and he was born on 2nd November 1994. Demik started his career as member of rap clique Murda Capital which had Mellz , Cory Fanatics and Black Gee among it's members and together they worked on a number of songs like First Class Nxgga,M.O.T.H, All I know and Levels ep just mention a few . After working with Murda Capital for a while , Demik went solo , a move that raised his musical profile ,he released his debut project an extended playlist dubbed Spotlight which had songs like Nkhanza , Chiduntu , Nsanje and the smash hit Mowa which enjoyed airplay on various television and radios across the country. Demik drew his inspiration from the late award-winning South African Rapper AKA and has worked with numerous acts among them Mellz , Hyphen, Morality C , LJ , El Genesys , Struktic Rainne and Backstar in a career that spans close to half a decade. This 2023 Demik is about to drop a new project Spotlight ll Ep as he continue making inroads in the industry and it's first promotional single "Gangster Walira" drops on 11th August with another "Blast" to follow up on a later date. His music is accessible on various digital platforms and websites like YouTube , Audiomack and Malawi-music.com.
