Biography

Chikondi Suleman, or simply Codi, is a Malawian born singer who draws on her diverse upbringing to create a fusion of Afro-centric beats that are influenced by her blood ties with Zimbabwean and South African backgrounds. Chikondi Changa, Tukuka and Nanjiri are the first 3 singles off her self titled debut album. Codi, a pianist, is backed by her 8-piece band, Find Codi, a group of young and fresh instrumentalists from around Blantyre, Malawi. These songs, and the up coming album, were recorded live at Mibawa Studios in Blantyre by Gresham Mokwena. All songs were produced by Nyimbo Music Company.
