Eminent-1 & Mahiri Nasumu

Eminent-1 (real name Matthews Longwe) and Mahiri Nasumu (born Tiwonge Kondowe) are a Hip-Hop duo from Lilongwe. The two formed a group called Christ Syndicate in 2009. Eminent -1 worked on underground projects and in 2010 and formed formed a group called Authentic Poets, which comprised five members (Alfred Jinazari, Briz the producer, Crossby Msisya, Morton Msisya and Matthews Longwe himself). In 2012 he released a mixtape titled “Silence and Violence” with fellow rapper Joster G, then followed up with another single in 2014 called “Time” which featured Benito and Cadaverous of The Whispers of Doom. Mahiri Nasumu (meaning Skilful with songs) who is a cousin to Eminent -1, joined forces in 2016 to begin work on their recent project called ‘Ndado Zapachulu’, which is an eight track mixtape.
