Biography

Born Lanno Chiipira and based in the Capital of malawi, Lilongwe, Abatiya is a popular musical prodigy who started his career in the year 2015 with a group called Eminent Boiz back then which is inactive as of now. His popular music pieces titles Kumaipatsa Moto & Wizulo were created under his inspirations on artists who do positive meaningful music such as Patience Namadingo , Penjan Kalua (Fredokiss ), Duncan Zgambo (Gwamba), Limbani Kalirani (Tay Grin) just to mention a few. He studied and mastered his musical excellence applying hardwork as an essential output and putting God first above everything . He has worked on his mixtape titled Pizza si Zigege which has 13 songs and has collaborated with artists like Bucci, Kelvin Sings, Mwanache, Hilco and many others.; He also worked on his Extended playlist titled The Flowers which has 10 Songs and he has roped with fellow up and coming artist like MD One, Picial Pisho, Lusaw and many talented new blood Abatiya is an independent solo artist. The trick behind his eminent success is ensuring that he provides music with relatable lyrics and sound for his fans mixing a concept of strange plus unique titles which thrills his audience when sampling his pieces. This has opened doors for his work get radio plays which various artists fail to accomplish. Growing up, he has been motivated with the music legends such as Lucky Dube, Oliva Ntukudzi, Yvonne Chaka, Lucious Banda, Paul Banda and not forgetting Paul Chaphuka. His motivations drove his vision today to become a big artist globally and locally making sure that the money he is making is brought in because of the greatness of his music. Abatiya is encouraging uprising artists of this era to always apply hard work as the key element of success in this art industry and that artists should always put God first when investing their pieces for the audience. He quotes: " practice will perfect your ambitions and will trigger success. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that scares us. We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually who am I not to be." When Abatiya is not doing his music his side hobbies include playing football and reading.
