Born and raised in the capital city of Malawi, Lilongwe, Khetwayo grew up in a Christian family. At 10 he started playing the piano and music has been part of him since then. Khetwayo believes that music can influence behavior and change in people and that’s why his music revolves around the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring about this change. He was introduced to rap music at a young age; his main influences include Lecrae, Tedashii and Trip Lee. In college he became part of a group called kingdom movement, which helped him greatly in his walk with the lord Jesus Christ and also helped him in his rap skills.
His first album Character which contains 17 tracks is a reflection of what God has done in his life and what he is learning in his walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. The main inspiration of Character comes from Colossians 3 verse 12-17 which describes the nature of the new man in Christ. He believes that Christianity is movement whereby Christians are supposed to be people of influence in everything that they do. ‘As Christians we are supposed to influence our communities, Jobs, Schools, families with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and this can be done if we display the Character of our Lord Jesus Christ in our lives.’ So let’s characterize Christ in our Character.
